World Book Day 2026

We had a fantastic time celebrating World Book Day this year, embracing our theme of “Go All In” — and going all in we certainly did! Dressed in our cosiest pyjamas, the whole school came together to celebrate the joy and importance of reading in the most comfortable way possible.

A real highlight of the day was our Reading Buddies sessions, where KS2 pupils joined EYFS and KS1 to share stories and recommend their favourite books. It was wonderful to see children of all ages reading together, building confidence and inspiring one another. Throughout the day, classes also took part in a range of book-themed activities, from creative writing to book discussions, all celebrating the power of stories. We rounded off our celebrations with a special World Book Day assembly, reflecting on why reading matters.

The excitement continues with our Book Fair, running from 6th–11th March on Upper site in the Dining Hall, open before and after school each day. We hope to see lots of families there supporting reading in our school community! Remember you can use your book token to save £1.
